What Causes Tooth Sensitivity?
Tooth sensitivity often occurs when protective enamel wears away, exposing the dentine underneath.
Within dentine are thousands of microscopic channels (called dentine tubules) that lead directly to the nerve of the tooth. When these become exposed, triggers such as cold, heat or sweet foods can cause discomfort.
Many toothpastes work by forming a layer over the surface of the tooth. While this can help, the effect may be temporary and can wear away over time.
What Makes Black Diamond Different?
Black Diamond Toothpaste uses advanced nanosphere technology containing amorphous calcium magnesium phosphate, specifically engineered with an ultra-fine particle size to enable deeper penetration into the tooth.
Dentinal tubules (the microscopic channels that lead to the nerve of the tooth) are typically just 1 to 2 microns wide.
